Meet Amy and Jordan

Amy works from home which gives her plenty of time to watch her 8 month old, Jordan. While she is working, she needs to find ways to entertain Jordan and keep him invested in a toy for a long time. With her student loans and child care bills, she does not have the money to invest in a large number of toys for her son but still wants to give him a fun experience that will be exciting and encourage his curiosity as he learns through play.

IDEATING FOR INTERACTIONS

Concepts were envisioned by first imagining a fun motion or interaction the child could have while on the Ride On. Once a unique interaction was imagined a character or object was next envisioned to best match the way the toddler will interact with the toy

EXPANDED IDEATION

CONCEPT 1: ANGLER FISH

A funny looking fish character with a large bouncing lantern that children will enjoy watching, pulling and squeezing as they play with this ride on.

CONCEPT 2: INFLATABLE WHEELS

Large highly flexible wheels are great for outside play or a messy playroom. Wheels deform to go over objects and bounce with any impact.

CONCEPT 3: BUBBLE TRAIN

A classic train toy with a twist. Children will enjoy being able to sit on this ride on and watch the bubbles fly from the smoke stack as they push themselves forward.

Feature Inspiration

CONCEPT 4: STREET SWEEPER

Toddlers will love being able to roll over the rubber balls and watch them pop out the sides as the sweepers pull them in. Parents will love the toy sweeping the floor too.
